Ingredients
  • 2 cups almond milk (I made mine at home but you can also use store bought)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 3 green cardamom pods
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 3 tbsps agave nectar
Instructions
  1. Except for the honey put all ingredients in a pan on high heat. Let it come to a boil. Then lower the heat and let simmer for at least 20 minutes so all the spices are infused into the milk. Stir once in a while so the milk does not get burnt.
  2. Take off the heat and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on top and drink either warm or cold.

Turmeric is a powerful medicine that has long been used in the Chinese and Indian systems of medicine as an anti-inflammatory agent to treat a wide variety of conditions, including flatulence, jaundice, menstrual difficulties, bloody urine, hemorrhage, toothache, bruises, chest pain, and colic.
